Lord Kyle - Lord of the Quail Valley

Lord Kyle:
Kyle's wealth so outrageously dwarfs that of anyone else's in the valley that he makes a serious effort to appear "common". He is a fairly young and attractive human with blond hair and a bright wide smile. He is extremely well mannered, and enjoys hearing tales of the adventure and excitement his post prohibits him from entertaining. Always a sucker for a good tale, he has been known to hire adventurers whenever they pass through for a variety of tasks his own people can't handle. Lord Kyle is the latest in a line of aristocracy that have watched over the valley for the last 143 years, only recently taking over his duties when his father died of natural causes at age 73.

The Manor:
Situated a quarter-mile northwest of Pembrose, this twelve-room, three story estate is surrounded by one hundred acres of farmland, private hunting grounds, and an orange grove. The gates to his home are twelve feet high and guarded by two men-at-arms. A barracks also exists on the grounds where the remainder of his staff (which includes a cook, maid, two stable boys, a butler, and several farmhands) all live on-site. The local farms that serve him tend to his six horses, twenty-five head of cattle, forty to fifty chickens.

Adventure Hooks:
He has recently approached the PCs to deal with a hobgoblin threat at a local abandoned border fort.
